Switzerland, a united land of voyeurs

Watching others get intimate with each other is very stimulating – and not just exciting – for many. They find it aesthetically pleasing and pleasurable to be able to consensually watch other women and men exercise their desires. This is according to a recent survey of the dating portal “JoyClub” among 2,617 members.

Nearly one in four (24.1 percent) said they enjoy being voyeuristic in the November 2022 survey – only with proper permission, of course. Three years ago, only one in five enjoyed watching (21.8 percent). So the trend is upward. Especially with age, voyeurism seems to become more and more important. Because here every third surveyed stated that voyeurism is a real gain in pleasure for him or her.

According to “JoyClub”, the Swiss have the highest viewing pleasure with a total of 26.4 percent, followed by the Austrians (25 percent). The Germans are third, ahead of France and Spain. Italians don’t seem to get much pleasure from voyeurism. You finish last in the poll.

The women and men surveyed stated that the sight of lustful people turns them on the most (66.6 percent). But many also find the situation of viewing itself particularly enjoyable. However, with voyeurism, many do not think only of themselves, which is why it is also important to many that those observed enjoy drawing attention to themselves.

But not everyone wants to be explicitly invited. For women in particular, this direct request often has a deterrent effect. They prefer to watch quietly, secretly and unnoticed. For men, on the other hand, offensive observation is not a problem.
