Like Romeo and Juliet: The First Love Story in “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” ends in drama

It’s been an ebb and flow for this WWM couple. Benjamin Burg flew upright for the first time on Monday when he was asked 2000 euros from the show and so back to 500 euros without having used one of his four jokers. Then his girlfriend Kerstin Jacob-Rauch took “revenge” with quizmaster Günther Jauch the next day and earned at least 32,000 euros. “It is a merciful fate,” said Günther Jauch on Tuesday.

But there was the love story in “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” not over yet: with her triumphant move, Jacob-Rauch qualified for the final round on Friday and here her boyfriend made a costly mistake, advising her: “Whatever he offers you, gamble!” The final round went so that Jauch secured the candidates amounts of different amounts. However, this requires the candidates to forego the money they have already earned and return to the hot seat.

After all, the amounts on the question ladder have tripled. So there was – in addition to the insured amount – no less than 3 million euros to win! Jauch offered Jacob-Rauch 7,000 euros and she accepted if he also offered her a bock beer. No sooner said than done, Jacob-Rauch dared to fight again, which unfortunately ended in shards for her. How would you have been? Try it here:

But before we get to the big drama, an interesting story about our candidate: she suffers from a phobia of buttons. “I can’t even look,” she says as Jauch unwraps his mother-of-pearl shirt buttons. The phobia goes so far that she secretly cut the buttons off her boyfriend’s bedding. And you even see a criminal genius in her: she didn’t throw the buttons in his garbage, but wrapped them in handkerchiefs and took them with her to throw away later. Crazy, right?

Now back to the drama. This starts with a question about Roger Federer of all things. Who played alongside him in his last game? A simple question for Swiss citizens and for Germans? Not at all. The candidate pulls out the phone joke, advising her, “Nadal, but completely in the dark.” Great. So she also draws the audience joker, which reaffirms the correct answer – Nadal. That means three jokers are already gone.

Who wants to become a millionaire: The 3 million show on RTL with Günther Jauch. Things ended badly for this candidate.

After this stumbling, Jauch mentions that Federer lost his last game and explains, “Imagine if it were my last show and it dropped to 1000 euros.” One of the two things is not true, but Jauch is already conjuring up a bleak future.

In addition, the candidate takes a false sense of security. If she bets $30,000 on the question – with protection from the 50/50 joker – and is right, she says, “I have to show some courage.” All parameters of the drama are determined by it. And then comes this question:

“The cougar is the black panther”, so the cougar must be there. Unfortunately complete nonsense, it’s true: the cougar is never black. If you look closely, you can see Jauch cringe. However, the candidate misunderstands his twitching: “I think they agree with me in spirit.” Günther Jauch is clearly suffering. He even offers her a bock beer if she leaves now. But she won’t be fooled.

Instead, she rolls the dice! Jauch can’t believe it: “In the end they leave it to a stupid cube?” But even Jacob-Rauch is not deterred by this. She rolls her way into misery and chooses the wrong answer. Instead of 57,000, she only goes home with 8,000 euros.

Who wants to become a millionaire: The 3 million show on RTL with Günther Jauch. Things ended badly for this candidate.

If only she’d had a closer look at the Jauch, who was visibly melting away in his chair. “Could there be a stronger bond between you and your husband?” With these forgiving words, Jauch says goodbye to his candidate.

Together they have earned at least 8500 euros. And she also takes home a record: she’s the “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” contestant with the longest hair ever. She grew them for 12 to 13 years and the target is the popliteal fossa. Then she wants to donate the head of hair.
