Our in-house Watson stats confirm it: you love animal photos. The Nice News on Friday gets a lot of clicks.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards also work with this entertainment factor – but with a serious background. The photo award is intended to draw attention to the worldwide extinction of species. “The large number of images we receive every year shows how great the interest in nature conservation is. It reminds us that wildlife is really amazing and fun. We must do everything we can to protect them,” said co-founder Paul Joynson-Hicks.

This year 40 photos made it to the finals – and we’ve rounded them up for you. The winners will be announced on December 8. Have fun with the animals!
