Great news everyone!
Before you can view the beautiful animal photos that I have selected for you this week, I would like to give you (more) good news: a very rare Sumatran rhino has been born in Indonesia. This species was almost exterminated; it is estimated that fewer than 80 examples remain. Another Sumatran rhino was born this year.
And this is what the newborn Sumatran rhino looks like:
It is the first birth for the new rhino mother Delilah.
Both mother and calf are doing well.
Unfortunately, the calf doesn’t have a name yet.
So that brings us back to the normal fun news:
Hello! Do you have a snack for me?
Me, once the food is ready:
It’s okay, we’ll stay here. It’s quite comfortable. And not so cold…
Oh, to be a dog…
Grumpy Cuteness:
The buffet is open.
We strike at sunset.
But someone is very tired.
Do you want more foxes?
The fun news continues below.
So small and already learned how to pose for photos.
Speaking of elephants: this one is a hyrax. Its closest relatives are elephants (and manatees).
What doesn’t exist…
Currently it is too dark to crawl out of the warm bed in the morning.
Who would dare?
Who else gets ‘Harry Potter’ vibes from this photo?
Wait for me!
Anyone fancy a snowball fight?
Today’s tongue of the week comes from my dog:
Small snack (including tongue).
What’s wrong with your ears, little one? 🥺
Hey. 🥰
Since we briefly talked about manatees earlier:
Did you eat something healthy today?
This completes the puzzle and we can finish the Nice News at our leisure:
What’s the good news?
