This is the heir to the Lamborghini Aventador: the brand’s new flagship is called the Revuelto.

Revuelto follows Aventador. Twelve years ago Lamborghini launched its last flagship, the Aventador, powered exclusively by the V12 petrol engine – now comes its successor, named the Revuelto. And it ends a tradition: Recently, new Lambos have always been named after the fighting bulls, but Revuelto simply means “karma” in Spanish.

The name fits: in addition to the all-new V12 naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters and 825 HP (606 kW), the super sports car is powered by three electric motors with 150 HP (110 kW) each. Lamborghini is starting to electrify its series cars as well, following the hybrid small-series model Sian in 2019, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann (58) says: “The new Revuelto is a milestone and an important pillar in our electrification strategy.”

No Lambo has ever been this strong

And the most powerful production Lambo of all time. As a plug-in hybrid, the V12 naturally aspirated engine and electric motors provide system output of 1015 hp (746 kW) and maximum torque of 725 Nm. Using the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, the Revuelto accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds. Seven seconds later, the 200 mark flies away and only hits over 350 km/h. . Top speed is a shameless 9500 laps.

The Revuelto looks as belligerent as you’d expect from a Lamborghini: massive air intakes, piercing LED headlights and a large brake light that makes the rear V12 glow red when braking ensure the big look. Inside, there are sports seats in leather or Dinamica polyfibre, a 12.3-inch cockpit screen and an 8.4-inch center touchscreen.

Copied from Ferrari: The passenger can also call up the most important information from his own screen. Practical: Information can be moved from one screen to another by moving your finger. Even more practical: The alarm system is connected to the immobilizer and the networked navigation system, so the owner always knows where his car is and who is driving it.

Completely electrically over the front axle

The 218-kilogram V12 is humming behind the driver’s cab, with electric motors weighing just 18.5kg each at the front axle and transmission housing. The battery with a gross capacity of 3.8 kilowatt-hours (kWh) is in the cardan tunnel. The battery pack is charged at the charging station in 30 minutes via regenerative braking or V12. There are a total of 13 driving programs to choose from – even for some pilots, that’s too good a thing. The Revuelto is driven purely electrically via the front axle only. The performance range is between 180 hp in front-wheel drive city mode and 1015 hp in all-wheel drive Corsa mode.

The Revuelto takes its power to the road with mixed tires equipped with 20 or 21-inch rims up to 265 millimeters wide at the front and 21 or 22-inch wheels up to 355 millimeters wide at the rear. Even with a flat tire, they have to go up to 80 kilometers to the nearest service station. And when does the Lamborghini Revuelto start? Unfortunately, there is still no information about market launch or prices.
