This is Suzuki’s first Stromer

Searching for an electric car in Suzuki’s already manageable model range is futile. There’s the cool Jimny and the classic Swift, Ignis or Vitara – but they all have the traditional ride. Recently, Suzuki has offered at least two hybrid twin models to the Swace and Across models, and Toyota RAV4 and Corolla. However, Suzuki cannot currently offer a pure Stromer.

It will be different from 2025. Next, the production version of the eVX study will hit the road as the first all-electric Suzuki, a compact all-wheel drive crossover with typical Suzuki genes. The 4.30-metre-long Suzuki eVX is celebrating its world premiere as work at the Auto Expo in India, the most important market for the Japanese.

4×4 and 550 km range

The electric all-wheel drive concept eVX is powered by a 60 kilowatt-hour battery that should provide a range of up to 550 kilometers to the next charging stop. “I am delighted to be able to present a preview of our first strategically important electric model worldwide with the eVX concept,” said Toshihiro Suzuki, 63, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, at Auto Expo. “Combating global warming is Suzuki’s top priority. That’s why we’re promoting a range of global measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, we will continue to offer our customers around the world high-quality products optimized for their lifestyles and driving styles.»

However, Toshihiro Suzuki has yet to provide further information or technical details about the vehicle in India. And so we have no choice but to keep waiting – but we know that the electric age will soon begin at Suzuki as well.
