We continue with the 9th row shared by the two models of 4×4 specialist Suzuki. The compact SUV S-Cross comes standard with a 4×4 and 129 hp (95 kW) mild hybrid drive. The slightly smaller but more iconic two-seater Jimny is available for the same price as a 102 hp (75 kW) petrol engine.

The next Suzuki, the city SUV Vitara, adorned for style, takes 7th place. Available as a 129 hp (95 kW) mild or 115 hp (85 kW) full hybrid. The more powerful mild hybrid is a cheaper choice. What we can reveal at this point: The Vitara will not be the last Suzuki in our lineup.

6. Subaru XV, 27,900 francs

All-wheel drive brand Subaru should not be missing from this list, of course. After all, every Japanese model has four driven wheels, including the Crossover XV. It is offered with a 114 hp (84 kW) four-cylinder boxer petrol engine and continuously variable automatic transmission.

5. Subaru Impreza, CHF 25,450

If you can do without the ground clearance of an XV, you can get an all-wheel drive vehicle with the Impreza for around 2500 francs less than the 4×4 predecessor Subaru. The compact Japanese has the same 114 hp (84 kW) turbocharged boxer petrol engine as the Crossover XV and a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Duster from the Romanian inexpensive manufacturer Dacia was once the leader in our ranking of the cheapest all-wheel drive vehicles in Switzerland. But only the 4×4 version of the Duster did not become more expensive, as the Renault subsidiary removed the entry-level engine from the series. Last year, the compact SUV was available from Dacia dealers for CHF 14,990. The Duster is now available with a 150 hp turbo petrol engine or a 115 hp turbo diesel, starting at CHF 23,390 each – but only with the 4×4.

3. Suzuki Swift starting at CHF 22,990

The next Suzuki in the lineup is the #3 small car Swift. Despite only 83 hp (61 kW), thanks to the curb weight of under 1000 kg, there is real driving pleasure in the city and on winding country roads – especially in the more powerful Swift Sport version (from 26,990 Fr.). , but not available with 4×4.

2. Suzuki Ignis, CHF 22,490

4×4 compact car specialist Suzuki lists five models among the 11 cheapest all-wheel drive cars in Switzerland. In second place is the unusually designed mini SUV Ignis, only 3.70 meters long. Like the Swift small car, the 83 hp (61 kW) petrol engine runs under the short hood.

1. Fiat Panda, CHF 20.040

For years, the little mountain flea from Italy was the cheapest all-wheel drive vehicle in Switzerland – but now that’s over! After nearly a decade on the market, Fiat discontinued production of the 3.65-metre short 4×4 Panda, with two cylinders and 85 petrol hp (63 kW) in November. But we pay our last respects to Panda and let it retain its top spot until the end of the year – the last stock vehicles are still available in Switzerland, according to Fiat.
