How the most inexperienced contestant failed in “7 vs. Wild” – and what she learns from it

She is the first exit of «7 vs. Wild»: Die German Twitch streamer Starletnova pressed the red button and had the rescue team pick him up. The survival experience came to an end for the 23-year-old in episode 9.

Nova endured two nights and three days alone in the wilderness on the island in Panama. Then the isolation and the forces of nature became too much. “I think I’ve reached the end of my powers,” she justified her decision on the show.

Nova prefers the streaming room to the desert island

A few weeks later, at home in her streaming room, she talks to Watson about her experiences on the island and her future. “This is where I feel most comfortable,” Nova says with a smile.

Apparently the woman from Cologne has had enough of the hard survival. “I kind of ticked off the subject for myself,” she says.

The 23-year-old was no longer planning survival projects. She doesn’t rule out going for a walk or traveling and spending a night or two outside at the same time. “But that’s not my priority and it won’t be my primary content,” says Nova, who is best known for her Twitch streams of gaming content.

Despite the overwhelming experience on the island of San José, she is happy to have been part of “7 vs. Wild”: “It was a great experience and I think it was nice for people to see how someone with less experience so just a normal human beating in the wild.”

The 23-year-old does not rule out participating in “super cool” projects in the future. “Maybe I’ll go shopping with Marc Lehmann or something,” she says with a wink. By this she means the biologist Robert Marc Lehmann, who acts as an expert in the current season. In a photo challenge, he was only allowed to identify animals for “7 vs. Wild” based on the photos. In terms of survival, she will be cautious in the future, she emphasizes:

How 7 vs. Wild experiences have changed Nova

The time in Panama pushed Nova to its limits – and beyond. Now she appreciates a few things that used to be taken for granted by the woman from Cologne: for example a hot shower, a toilet or food. “These are little things that you suddenly feel much more grateful for.” Being able to reconnect with her family, friends and her boyfriend has reached a new value for her. “I would have given anything for it on the island,” she reveals.

After the departure of the streamer, six other candidates now battle against the forces of nature on the island: the show’s founder Fritz Meinecke, hobby biologist Joris, outdoor YouTuber Sabrina, fitness YouTuber Sascha Huber and the entertainer “Knossi”.
