Schmohl’s new classical world

The environment is suitable. The Valley, the former site of the Maggi factory in Kemptthal ZH, offers vintage walls but exudes a modern zeitgeist. Many start-ups use the historic location for new, creative business ideas. And with the Motorworld concept already in place, The Valley is becoming a growing hotspot for car fans.

“Our new subsidiary is the ideal place for the development of Schmohl Exclusive Classic Cars AG,” says Christoph Haas, CEO of Schmohl AG and managing director of the new subsidiary. Idea: Schmohl separates business areas. Classy new cars of the Bentley, Bugatti, McLaren and Rolls-Royce brands are still on sale in the modern center not far from Zurich Airport in Glattpark ZH. On the other hand, at the officially newly opened place in Kemptthal last Saturday, everything revolves around the young and old and between brands.

trade and repair

“Of course the initial focus was on British brands like Aston Martin, Bentley, Lotus and Rolls-Royce,” said Christoph Haas. But as a first in-person review before the official launch shows, vehicles from other legendary brands such as Porsche or Mercedes are also sold at Schmohl’s Exclusive Classic Cars in the Valley.

Similar to Emil Frey’s Classic Center in Safenwil AG, Schmohl’s 450 square meter store in Kemptthal will always buy and sell ten to 20 classic vehicles, as well as repair, restore and maintain them. “As a trained car mechanic in an old car garage, I assure our customers that their jewelery is in the best hands with us or that they will find their future dream car with us,” promises Arthur Schneider, who works with the workshop. manager and Lotus expert Gregory Künzler leads the Schmohl team of five at the new location.

Other planned locations

Of course, Schmohl CEO Christoph Haas hopes that Schmohl Exclusive Classic Cars in The Valley in Kemptthal will quickly become a meeting place for classic car enthusiasts. “We want to move 40 to 50 vehicles a year here,” he explains. Business should also be supported with events on classic cars, lifestyle events and job interviews. And Haas has bigger plans already. The Valley in Kemptthal is just the beginning, and other Schmohl Exclusive Classic Cars locations will follow – for example in Zug next year.
