A user living in Switzerland published his finances for this year in detail on the online platform Reddit. The user, who calls himself N3XT191, shows his income and expenses in the subreddit “Switzerland” (thematic subgroups on Reddit). For those who do not understand the list or have doubts, he will answer your questions in the comments.

In his post, N3XT191 further explains the costs and his living situation: he just turned 25 and lives with his girlfriend outside Zurich. His job as a developer and IT consultant earns him a salary of 85,000 gross plus a bonus, not to mention the general subscription for the first class, which is paid by his employer.
21,310 set aside
The communicative user declares his gross and net income and his other income down to the last franc. N3XT191, who lives in a 70 square meter apartment, paid R6,724 in taxes. Since he started a new job, this is not the final amount, the user explains in the comments.
He then lists how much he has spent on housing, insurance and taxes, among other things, as well as how much he has set aside. In 2023, he was able to save 21,310 francs, and another 12,306 francs will go to the pension provision.
Also nice costs written down
The ‘Fun’ category is also not missing: hobbies, holidays, books, gifts, internet and subscriptions cost the user around 12,000 francs. He spends 1,106 francs on books alone.
Another Reddit user asked N3XT191 how he keeps track of his finances. The answer:
He cannot (or does not want to) allocate only 962 francs of the total expenditure; these are noted as “Other/Unknown”.
Most commenters rate the entry positively, ask the user for tips and congratulate him on the presentation. Others seem intimidated by the meticulous accounting. And ask for book recommendations instead.
(haha)
