Three major fairs for the automotive and commercial vehicle industry ended successfully last Saturday. 43,149 visitors to Bern broke a new record, an increase of 44.7 percent compared to the previous year.
The 12th Swiss Commercial Vehicle Salon Transport-CH, the 2nd Swiss Automotive Aftermarket Salon Aftermarket-CH and the 1st Swiss Automobile Body Salon Carrosserie-CH can rightly be described as a performance show for the mobility industry: More than 250 exhibitors in ten halls There are more than 800 brands in the 60,000 square meter open area.
Electricity is also booming in commercial vehicles
Featuring numerous innovations from the commercial vehicle, garage, aftermarket and bodywork sectors as well as world-class specialist events, the tour showed that electromobility is becoming increasingly important in these areas as well. Test driving, where vehicles with alternative driving concepts can be driven under real conditions, has also been increasingly popular at previous trade fair events and has been very well received this year as well.
Electric drive is no longer a niche, but has become the focus of all commercial vehicle brands, including Swiss ones: For example, Winterthur electrical specialist Designwerk presented the High Cab Semi 6×2 T, the world’s first battery-capable electric truck model series. Volvo Trucks Switzerland delivered its hundredth electric truck with a power of 1000 kWh during the fair. The trade fair days were full of activity and the development of electromobility in the commercial vehicle sector will be explored at the next Transport-CH in two years.
