On Thursday, Auto Zurich will open its doors for the 36th time. What the organizers around managing director Ines Nägeli (56) and president Karl Bieri (73) have put together, or rather the wheels, is impressive. Following last year’s record attendance, almost 60 new car brands are coming to Zurich showrooms this year; This is once again a new record in the long history of the fair, which is Switzerland’s largest and most important motor show.
Even in international comparison, Auto Zurich lags far behind many similar events in terms of brand diversity. The many new cars include not only around 40 Swiss premieres, but also vehicles that have never been presented to the public in Europe.
