iPhone manufacturer Apple has released a software update aimed at fixing the device overheating problem on the 15 Pro. The new version of the operating system iOS 17.0.3 The company says it also includes security updates.

Apple announced last weekend that some users’ iPhones may become hot due to a software error in the iOS system.

Previously, numerous users on social networks had complained that their iPhone became so hot that they could not hold it without a case. For some, the problem occurred when the smartphone was charged via a cable, for others it also occurred during normal use.

Newly installed iPhones may feel warmer overall

The reports of the iPhones heating up had led to speculation that the new titanium casing or the newly developed chip could have contributed to this.

However, Apple emphasized that the titanium frame allows for better heat dissipation – and that the processor should not be slowed down during software corrections.

At the same time, the company pointed out that newly installed iPhones may initially feel warmer overall because the electronics are working harder in the background.

Users report crackling speakers

As the IT magazine “Golem” writes, iPhone 15 buyers reported another problem: a crackling sound is heard, especially when calling through the smartphone’s speaker.

The problem is also said to occur when playing music or videos at a volume above 80 percent. Numerous users complained on the Internet platforms “Reddit” and “Tiktok” that “the distortion made the sound of the iPhone 15 almost unusable at maximum volume.”

It is unclear whether it is a software bug or a hardware issue.
