International stars
It is not surprising that Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland are at the international top. They are rated 91, as is Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. Lionel Messi is considered the fourth best player even after his move to MLS.
Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois is the only goalkeeper to feature in football’s top fifteen. The assessments of Karim Benzema (90) and Virgil van Dijk (89) are unlikely to meet with universal understanding.
Swiss player
