WhatsApp allows you to send high resolution photos

The latest version of the messaging platform WhatsApp allows you to send higher quality high definition (HD) images.

“Photo sharing on WhatsApp has just been updated. Now you can send them in HD”, announced this Thursday the CEO of Meta (the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), Mark Zuckerberg, on his social networks.

The feature is already available in the United States and will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks for its Android, iOS and web versions.

Now, when sending a recording, users will have the option to select the HD option, since they will be able to choose between sending a photo in standard quality (at a resolution of 1600 x 1052 pixels) and in HD quality (at a resolution of 4096 x 2692 pixels).

Although the default stream will always be of standard quality.

On the other hand, a person who receives a high-resolution image will recognize it by the letters “HD” which will appear in the lower left corner of the minimized image.
