“Red Dead Redemption” is coming to Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4

The popular video game set in the Wild West returns. In a new edition for the Nintendo Switch and Sony’s Playstation 4. But there’s a catch.

The western epic “Red Dead Redemption” is coming to Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 game consoles for the first time. As announced by Rockstar Games, it has been ported for these consoles. Connoisseurs of the game around the outlaw John Marston should therefore not expect any new action.

Also included is the story expansion called “Undead Nightmare”, which pits Marston against a horde of zombies, Rockstar Games continues to announce.

“Red Dead Redemption” including “Undead Nightmare” should be available from August 17 on the Nintendo Switch eShop and on the Playstation Store and cost around 50 francs together. The physical version of both will be available as a bundle starting October 13. If you have a Playstation 5 you can play the game too – it’s backward compatible.

We released Red Dead Redemption on May 21, 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version will continue to run on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S thanks to Microsoft’s backward compatibility with Xbox consoles.
