As has been the case for many years, Apple is the most popular smartphone manufacturer in Switzerland: in a survey by comparison service Moneyland, almost half of those surveyed said they use an iPhone. The models from the South Korean manufacturer Samsung followed in second place.
46 percent of respondents in Switzerland used an iPhone, Moneyland.ch announced on Wednesday. Samsung models accounted for 40 percent. Manufacturers such as Huawei and Nokia are far behind.
iPhone popular with women and boys
According to Moneyland, Apple devices were especially popular among the 18 to 25 age group surveyed, with 66 percent saying they use an iPhone. Less than a third used a Samsung smartphone. Apple users are also generally the most satisfied with their devices.
According to the statement, differences are noticeable in terms of gender. 48 percent of women surveyed have an iPhone and 44 percent of men have one. Men were more likely to have Samsung than women (41% and 39%, respectively).
According to the announcement, the fact that Apple and Samsung occupy such a prominent position in the Swiss ranking has to do with the high purchasing power of the population. As a result, more expensive models would be preferred. Moneyland interviewed 1,500 Swiss for the study.
