In the 1980s, so-called radio-controlled (RC) model cars were popular. And if there’s one dream car among these 1/10 scale RC off-road vehicles, it’s the Wild One Max from Japanese toy maker Tamiya.

Little Car Company now brings to life the unimaginable of your wildest childhood dreams. The British manufacturer is making the Tamiya Wild One Max a reality as a 1:1 scale, officially road-approved buggy – with electric drive, of course.

The 1:1 scale Wild One Max looks amazing and is at least as off-road as the RC model from 40 years ago. Interesting: The batteries can be replaced almost as easily as in the remote control version.

About 41,000 francs plus VAT

Initial orders for the non-traditional vehicle can also be placed here. The Wild One Max and its exclusive launch edition start at around 41,000 francs plus VAT equivalent internationally. If you want to reserve a vehicle, you must pay ten percent of the purchase price to Little Car Company, headquartered in Bicester, England and represented by Schmohl Classic Cars at Kemptthal ZH in Switzerland.

The output of the 3.50 meter long sand silo can be managed with a maximum of 38 hp (28 kW). But even 20 hp (15 kW) of continuous output should be enough to enjoy on paved roads and especially off-road. Eight replaceable batteries with a total capacity of 14.4 kWh provide a range of 110 kilometers off-road and 200 kilometers on the road. Top speed is a respectable 100 km/h.
