Apple opens its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday evening at 7 p.m. And the event, which will be broadcast live on the internet, is something special this year.

After endless speculation and unconfirmed rumors, the Californians actually want to unveil a mixed reality headset. It should be an iPhone moment.

Until shortly before the unveiling of the new device, not a single sensible image was leaked.

What will Apple present and announce?

In the preview below we discuss the expected innovations – we will find out in a few hours whether the predictions come true. 😉

Where can you see the Apple keynote?

Practice area with health risks
According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, it will be possible to try out the Reality Pro directly at WWDC. Apple won’t hide the headset behind glass like it did with the very first iPhone. Instead, the Californians had built a “big new structure in Apple Park” specifically for “hands-on,” i.e. trying out the device.

This practice space is located on a basketball court near the fitness center in Apple Park. Media representatives and “some developers” are also offered a demo at the Steve Jobs Theater. The special hands-on section will remain open through the summer, Gurman writes — by invitation only.

The keynote will take place in the same location as last year, but there will be shade to avoid sunburn.

Headset not suitable for everyone

Apple is considering advising interested individuals with certain medical conditions not to purchase or use the device due to the potential health effects of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), according to a previous Gurman tweet. These include people with Meniere’s disease, previous traumatic brain injury, postconcussion syndrome, migraine and vertigo.

And here’s a last minute rumor
Apple was supposed to present a new Mac Studio with a powerful chip (M2 Max and M2 Ultra) at the WWDC opening.

The compact desktop computer sits between the Mac Mini and the Mac Pro in the California range.

Apple store «down»
As usual for any product presentation, Apple’s online store is currently unavailable. Behind the scenes, preparations are being made for the launch of new hardware, most likely including a large Macbook Air (15 inches or larger).
