Bieri injured in training: Central Swiss top player is out for a long time

Marcel Bieri (28) started the Schwing season with a strong 3rd place in the Zug Cantonal. But since then he has not participated in any festival. He suffered an injury at his home festival, forcing him to cancel the cantons of Lucerne and Uri.

As he announced on Instagram, he will be out for a long time. “Unfortunately I tore a ligament in my foot during swing practice, forcing me to take an extended break,” he wrote Friday night. “I hope to fight for the crowns on the wrestling courts again soon.”
