Swiss champion Alessandra Keller poses with the medal

Alessandra Keller and Thomas Litscher secure the Swiss short track championship title in Crans-Montana.

The 27-year-old from Nidwalden decided the race in her favor on the final lap, 4.2 seconds ahead of second-placed Ronja Blöchlinger. Steffi Häberlin takes bronze. “It was a very tactical race, I’m glad my strategy worked,” said Keller, last year’s overall World Cup winner in this discipline and in cross-country.

Litscher defeated Lars Forster in the men’s sprint. Timon Rüegg completes the podium. Last year’s winners Jolanda Neff (sick) and Filippo Colombo (injured) did not start. (SDA)
