Seventh straight playoff win: Nuggets trump Miami at the start of the Finals

Nikola Jokic leads the Denver Nuggets to a never-threatened starting victory over the Miami Heat with a triple-double.

The Denver Nuggets got off to a great start in the best-of-7 finals series against the Miami Heat, winning the first game 104-93.

The Nuggets have dominated for a long time at home and are now leading by 24 points. Only the last fifteen minutes go to the guests, who, apart from two short tours in the starting quarter, are always behind.

It is the seventh win in a row in the play-offs for the qualifiers from the West. Although Denver had a nine-day break after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0 in the semifinals and Miami played the Boston Celtics three days earlier, the Nuggets have the better rhythm and seem more attentive.

The best scorer in the Colorado franchise is once again Nikola Jokic. The Serbian scores a triple-double (27 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists). Besides him, Jamal Murray also shines with 26 points and Michael Porter with a double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds). The best pitcher on the Heat side is Bam Adebayo with 26 runs.

The second game of the final series will again take place in Denver on Monday-evening. (SDA)
