New in the SCB goal: Reideborn last played for the Putin club CSKA Moscow.

Swedish goaltender Adam Reideborn (31) kept a goal in the KHL last season despite the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Many of his compatriots and other top European players had their contracts with KHL clubs terminated for ethical reasons.

Not Reideborn. The 184 cm tall goalkeeper from Stockholm spent a total of four years in the KHL, playing for Kazan and most recently for Putin club CSKA Moscow.

Unsurprisingly, SCB sports director Andrew Ebbett says, “Reideborn is an excellent goalkeeper with a lot of experience.” The contract with SCB runs until 2025.

Reideborn was used at the 2021 World Cup and was part of the Swedish Olympic team in 2022. (dk)
