At your current employer, GC, you don’t yet know what will happen after the season ends. What’s the matter with you?
George Continui: For the first time I want to end this season on a good note. We can still qualify for Europe in the last two games. That would be great for everyone: the whole club, the fans, the players and the staff.

How satisfied are you with the season, if it isn’t enough for Europe?
It was okay. We posted some good performances and results, but were rarely able to confirm them. We never made a series.

Sports director Bernt Haas recently said that 80 percent of your successor has been found. Do you know the name of the new Fast GC trainer?
No. No one has spoken to me about it, and they don’t have to. I do my best for GC and I am loyal to the end. What comes next is determined by others.

The contracts of your closest confidants all continue. What do your employees say about this unusual situation?
They don’t know either. It is clear that their situation is not quite simple and they are eager to learn more. But they do what I do and concentrate on their work.

And what comes next? Need a break after two hectic years at GC?
No, I don’t need a break. I am glad that I can recover after this long season. Probably like all the other coaches too. And then we’ll see how it goes.

So no longer trip planned?
No. That wouldn’t work at all, my kids have to go to school.

And don’t worry about being unemployed for a long time. After all, there are dozens of non-club coaches on the market?
Certainly not. I am completely relaxed. I made my decision and can live with the consequences.
