After Basel’s league match against Lugano (1-1), Heiko Vogel attacked referee Lukas Fähndrich and received a yellow-red card. A day later, the association announced that it would suspend the German for one game. In the duel with Servette on the 35th match day, Heiko Vogel is not allowed to sit on the Bebbi bench.
“I am very concerned about this person’s ability to referee matches. The majority of referees do a good job, but the arrogance that Fähndrich shows is unbelievable,” Vogel enraged after the match on Sunday.
Due to the mild suspension, Vogel can take his last seat in the coach chair of Basel on the 36th matchday against GC. He then switches back to the position of head of sports and Timo Schultz takes over the coaching position. (byl)
