First in the weight room, now in seventh heaven: Therese Johaug.

A week ago, Therese Johaug (34) posted photos of strength training on Instagram. Action, baby bump, piercing gaze. The contrast could hardly be greater than the photo she has now published – announcing the birth of her daughter.

Johaug became a mother for the first time on Wednesday. Everything is going well, assures her partner Nils Jacob Hoff (38), a Norwegian rower. The couple does not want to disclose the name of the child for the time being.

Four-time Olympic champion

Johaug returned as a cross-country skier last year – and is regarded as one of the most successful of all time. The Norwegian won 100 World Cup competitions, became world champion 14 times and won four Olympic gold medals. She collected a total of 25 medals in major events.

But there is also a shadow on her career. In 2016, she was suspended for 18 months for a doping violation. (SME)
