The Football Association (FA) has announced that Ivan Toney (27) will be suspended for eight months. He committed 232 violations of the Football Association’s betting rules between February 2017 and January 2021 and admitted to breaking them all. In addition, the FC Brentford striker must pay a fine of around CHF 56,000.
The suspension takes effect immediately until January 16, 2024. The England international – who made his debut against Ukraine in March – is only allowed to train again at his club four months before the suspension ends.
