Last weekend the wrestling season started with the first three wreath festivals of the season (Saint-Imier BE, Küssnacht SZ and Egnach TG). Joel Wicki, Adrian Walther and Damian Ott managed to win festivals. Next weekend it will continue with the 107th Baselbieter Kantonalschwingfest (May 6) and the 103rd Zug Cantonal (May 7).
Just like a few days ago, there will also be some top duels at the upcoming wrestling festivals. Liesberger Adrian Odermatt challenges Samuel Giger in the swing on Saturday in Basel. Domenic Schneider meets Nick Alpiger, who put Christian Stucki on his back in sixth gear at last year’s ESAF in Pratteln.
In the Zug Kantonal on Sunday in the Bull Market area, one thing must be beaten in particular: the father-to-be Pirmin Reichmuth. The 27-year-old is the top favorite this year after his victory in 2019. Reichmuth has to deal with Joel Ambühl when waving.
