The Dane Sören Kragh Andersen won ahead of the Austrian Patrick Konrad and the Italian Alessandro Fedeli.

Hirschi thwarted an attack by the German Georg Zimmermann two kilometers from the finish, which may have cost the power for the sprint. In this, two-time Tour de France stage winner Kragh Andersen triumphed by bike length.

Due to the increased height difference of 3000 meters, the leading group of the 62nd edition of the German classic consisted mainly of climbers. The peloton could no longer approach resolutely.

Norwegian record winner Alexander Kristoff, who won the race four times in a row since 2014 and was on the podium seven times in a row, had to settle for twelfth place. Sam Bennett, last year’s winner from Ireland, lost over six minutes in 69th. (SDA)
