Alcaraz enters the round of 16 of the Mutua Madrid Open and meets with Zverev

Carlos Alcaraz beat Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 7-5 this Sunday and thus qualified for the round of 16 of the Mutua Madrid Open, the fourth Masters 1000 ATP season, where the German Alexander Zverev awaits him.

Despite this, Alcaraz immediately retaliated, regained that break and consolidated it with aplomb (4-4). Then Murcian sped up and broke again (6-5) and sealed the victory.

In his third match at Caja Mágica, the El Palmar player will face Sascha Zverev. Therefore, the match that decided the title last year at the same tournament will be replayed. On that occasion, Alcaraz won the aforementioned final with an incredible 6-3 and 6-1 in just over an hour.
