Zurich coach Bo Henriksen has to do without Blerim Dzemaili (37) in the away match in Lucerne. The FCZ leader got a game suspension because of his TV interview (“The referee, it’s ridiculous”).

Henriksen was not surprised by the suspension, but rather by the fact that no player in Switzerland has ever been banned from TV for insulting the referee. The Dane said at the press conference in the “Home of FCZ” on Thursday: “In Denmark there are always those blocks. Apparently this is new in Switzerland.”

He does not say that Henriksen does not mind the verdict. But the Zurich coach says he finds it anything but objectionable when a player speaks plainly.

Henriksen experiences the emotions himself

Henriksen: «Emotions are part of football. Why do tens of thousands of people come to the stadium on weekends? If we take the emotions out of football, we have a huge problem.”

Henriksen himself is extremely emotional on the sidelines. His card balance in the Super League also shows: With one red and three yellow cards, he is the leader in the trainer cards.

But why didn’t Zurich appeal the Dzemaili ban? Henriksen: “A lawyer should explain that, but I’m not.” The reason may be that the master wanted to shelve the case as soon as possible and not take it to the final decisive rounds.

Incidentally, Dzemaili could be replaced by Ole Selnaes (28). The Norwegian was last in FCZ’s starting eleven on November 6 and was injured for months afterwards. Henriksen: “He is fit again and about to join the team.”
