Charles Leclerc will contact his fans on Easter Sunday. But instead of Happy Easter, the Monegasque asks for privacy. The reason: the address of the Ferrari driver was incorrectly published some time ago. Since then he has been harassed by fans on his doorstep.
“A few months ago my address somehow became public. Since then, people have gathered at my apartment, knocked on my door and asked for photos and autographs,” the Formula 1 star writes on Instagram.
Bad start to the season
Leclerc emphasizes that he always stops on the street or at races to take pictures with his fans. “I really appreciate your support, but please respect my privacy and please don’t come to my house. I will not come down if you are in front of my house.”
Leclerc is also not doing as desired on the track. The reigning vice world champion only collected three championship points from the first three races of the season. After a disappointing Australian GP (first round out) he is back in Monaco. Leclerc still has a few days to recover for the next race in Baku (April 30). At best, without the harassment of his fans.
