The ending was almost cheesy. Jordane Hauert, the captain of Ajoie and the son of the president, scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute. Hauert ended his career after this season. He had never scored – never! – A goal in the National League for Ajoie. In the second extra time, he danced out all opponents at the near post like an experienced goalscorer.
Ajoie’s first success: good luck! Because in the regular competition, the Swiss national champion La Chaux-de-Fonds was closer to victory for a long time, although Ajoie made a match superior to the competition qualification for the first time.
