Gregor Deschbanden jumps to 19th place in Planica.

In the individual competition at the end of the season, in which the 30 best ski jumpers of the World Cup took part, Deschwanden was the only Swiss to participate. After jumping 219 meters in the first round, he improved to 229.5 meters in the second. However, due to favorable wind conditions, he fell four places back in the standings.

The day before, Deschwanden had also flown 229.5 metres, giving him 7th place, equaling his career best result. After the postponement from Friday to Saturday, the individual jumping was performed in just one round.

At the last game of the season, the local Slovenians celebrated a double victory. Timi Zajc won against Anze Lanisek with a minimum lead of 0.1 points. Austria’s Stefan Kraft came third to secure the small ball in a duel with overall World Cup winner Halvor Egner Granerud. (SDA)
