There is a change in Henrik Kristoffersen’s team

Henrik Kristoffersen’s (28) record from last season is impressive: the Norwegian was on the podium eleven times in the World Cup, twice at the top. He also became world champion in slalom in Courchevel (Fr).

Next winter, however, he will have to confirm these successes without his coach for many years: Andreas Hjellum Alfredsen will leave the team around the ski star, which also includes the Swiss coach Jörg Roten (49). Alfredsen now works for the ski school Donski VGS in Gjettum near Oslo.

“A Very Good Guy”

The Norwegian coached Kristoffersen for three years. During the time he was together, he and his protege managed to win two small crystal balls in slalom and one in giant slalom. In addition to this year’s world title, they could also celebrate the bronze medal in the slalom at the 2021 World Championships in Cortina (It).

Kristoffersen confirmed the departure to Norwegian TV channel “TV2” and praised his former coach: “He is a very good guy and brings a lot of experience to ski school and Norwegian alpine sport.” Alfredsen would also be a good friend of the technology specialist in his private life.

The successor has already been decided: the Norwegian Daniel Tangen will take over the vacancy from next season. “I think that fits really well,” says Kristoffersen. (byl)
