How are things going at FC Luzern? Getting an answer is not that easy. One lawsuit follows another. Main shareholder Bernhard Alpstaeg invited to a media conference on Tuesday.
The day before, he met with representatives of the board of directors of FCL Holding AG, mayor Beat Züsli and SFL CEO Claudius Schäfer for a three-hour meeting. Now he wants to state his point of view. At the Hotel Schweizerhof – right on Lake Lucerne.

“There is news – with legal and non-legal aspects,” Alpstaeg’s spokesperson Sacha Wigdorovits opens. Then the 77-year-old entrepreneur takes over. “I defend myself against the board of directors and especially against Josef Bieri.” So he filed more lawsuits. He also asked the court to appoint a trustee to take over management.
Because according to Wigdorovits, FCL Holding AG is currently without a leader. The resolutions of the general meeting of 21 December are in fact null and void and thus the election of the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board. “The FCL is headed for an alleged VR. Therefore, we demand that the court appoint a trustee who will direct the FCL until further notice.”
Another legal request from Alpstaeg is addressed to the members of the Board of Directors. “He has no choice and has reported responsibility. Against Stefan Wolf, Josef Bieri, Engelberger-Koller and Laurent Prince, each one at their place of residence,” emphasizes Wigdorovits.
City buys share package Bieris
In addition, he tells about yesterday’s meeting, about which silence was initially agreed. “However, this was only valid until the publication of the press release from the city of Lucerne on Tuesday morning,” says Wigdorovits. Then he leaks that Bieri has sales thoughts. “He announced yesterday that he wants to sell his block of shares. Bieri even suggested that the city buy his block of shares. Züsli, however, refused. We understand that the city doesn’t want to spend that much.”
Alpstaeg takes positive note of Bieri’s sales thoughts. He even wants to help his fellow shareholder, with whom he no longer wants to work. “It is important that such a sale only goes to investors who have a connection to central Switzerland. In addition, it must be shareholders who have long-term interests,” emphasizes Alpstaeg.
However, Bieri’s side would not have discussed the sale of the entire share package. She denies these intentions.
Next act already on Wednesday
But what about the current licensing process? “I’m still waiting with this signature,” says Alpstaeg. And then he also talks about the fireworks attacks of the past week. “You don’t let yourself be fooled,” says Wigdorovits. At the same time, they absolutely do not want to cancel the lease, he emphasizes.
The next action in the FCL dispute should follow on Wednesday. The Board of Directors has invited a press conference at 11:00 am.
