Gun in the strip club
The latest scandal came after the Grizzlies’ away game at the Denver Nuggets on March 4. Morant visited a strip club after the game. There he went live with his Instagram account, rapping to a song and wildly waving a gun at the camera.
More than nine million people follow the superstar on the social media platform and the video immediately went viral. The police then determined whether anyone had been threatened with a weapon. However, the investigation was stopped.
Therapy should help
Morant was suspended by his team and was lenient: the superstar apologized to the team and his fans on Twitter. However, this does not exempt him from a penalty kick: he was suspended by the NBA for eight games. He will not be fined, but will lose $669,000 of his salary due to his absence.
According to ESPN, Morant has now sought professional help and is attending therapy in Florida. This should help him to only attract attention with actions on the track in the future. (byl)
