Obradoiro could only beat Tenerife three times

Beating Tenerife is almost always an impossible mission for Obradoiro. In Santiago Martin, the Galician team has never achieved victory. He traveled to the island field eleven times and added defeats to the number of games he played. In Sar, however, the statistics are not so convincing. Nine times the Canaries reached the Caldeira de Sar, but the statistics are not so favorable. They knelt three times in the capital of Galicia, Tenerife. He managed to return home with six victories. In total, Obradoiro and Tenerife played twenty games in the first league, with a balance of three victories for Galicians and seventeen victories for the islanders.

It has been five and a half years since Obra defeated Tenerife. In fact, the last nine clashes between the two have had the same suit. In 28 minutes, he scored 25 points (10 of 13 2-pointers and 5 of 6 free throws), along with eight rebounds and a PIR of 32. At a good level were Czech forward Pavel Pumprla with 16 points; Oriol Junyent, with 10; and Corbacho, with 9.

Before visiting Obra, the Tenerife expedition had to make a small stopover. After confirming last week’s qualification for the quarter-finals of the Basketball Champions League, the islanders faced Murcia yesterday afternoon with the intention of having home ground advantage in the next round’s best-of-three play-off. Guard Pepe Pozas, a former Obradoiro player, suffered a ruptured patellar tendon

Real Betis basketball player Pepe Pozas suffered a complete rupture of the patellar tendon on his right knee. Pozas could not finish the game against Baskonia after an unfortunate gesture in defense. The Malaga playmaker will undergo surgery, and the date of his return to the tracks will depend on the course of his recovery. Pozas, who is in his second season at Betis, played seven seasons at Obradoiro. He wore the jersey of the Compostela team in 202 matches in the Endesa League. He played 262 games in ACB.
