Celta player Fran Beltrán explained what he believes is the key to his physical arrangement
Fran Beltran works on average more than 12 kilometers per gamewith peaks that oscillate between 12.5 and 11.8, a very high distance that ranks him among the most prolific in the league year after year.
Achieving that level of performance requires hours of effort and dedication and even take work home. “It’s no longer everything you do every day in a sports city, but also at home, days off. You must be physically fit. At home you have to keep working so that the body is optimal for the next game and I think my case could be thanks to that,” says midfielder Seseña revealing part of those tasks: “I try to do a little more sports, recover my legs well, eat well and sleep well . It’s also necessary.” His physical performance is obvious, but his numbers also highlight his effectiveness on the field. Beltrán has a 90.2% passing success rate: 1,109 good out of 1,232 attempts.
Along with the two coaches who were on the Celta bench, Fran Beltrán did played everythingsince he had minutes in 25 games played, in 23 he started as a starter. The last time he played from the bench was at the end of the first round, against Athletico.
WITH Carlos Carvalhal, his mission hasn’t changed much, although he now plays in a double pivot system, where he used to do it alone. “When the team attacks, I’m still in the same area to reduce the play, and when we don’t have the ball, stay together. I think now the team has closer lines and we manage to have more clear goals”, he specifies before talking about the important changes in the movement on the bench: “With Chacho we always wanted to push, and with Carlos Carvalhal it is expected to be the right time to try to steal the ball .
On Saturday, a different game awaits the midfielder, since he will meet with Denis Suarez who in previous seasons was his partner in fatigues at Celta. – I will hug him because I get along very well with him and the time he spent here helped me a lot. Now he is a guide to Gabriel Veiga, a player he hopes to see on the national team roster tomorrow.
