Compostela is taking steps to convert into a joint-stock company

The current Board of Directors of Compostela undertook to maintain a more fluid line of communication with the entity’s subscribers and within this framework a new meeting was scheduled at the Hotel Puerta del Camino, in which the president, Carlos Gesto, took the lead. and Ignacio Calles, on behalf of a group of members who joined the club last December.

It was a complicated process, due to the strong opposition of the previous president, Antonio Quinteiro. Namely, he tried to stop nineteen establishments by asking for precautionary measures, which were not accepted. Since then, there is no record in the subject that he moved the part again, not even in relation to the ownership rights of the brand.

Calles confirmed the commitment of the group led by Antonio Agrasar, which also includes former player Esteban Granero. He talked about a long-term project without urgency.

In this line, there are two axes to which special attention is paid. One is sporting, since the team, despite the last two results being disappointing and the rush to the top position almost impossible, is still second in the standings and continues to fight for promotion.

The second involves the transformation of the entity into a public joint-stock company. The club is already working on articulating a process that enables access to all citizens and fans who want to be part of the shareholders. At the meeting, the section on deadlines in this matter was put on the table and, although there is no strict hourly rate, what there is is a threshold. It is predicted that this process will not last longer than the end of next season.
