HC Davos will announce on Sunday that Josh Holden will be the new coach. A day later he knows that he can also count on Dennis Rasmussen (32) next season.
The Swedish center extends his contract, which expires in the summer, by one year. Rasmussen played 142 games in the NHL for Chicago and Anaheim, among others, before moving from KHL team Metallurg Magnitogorsk to Landwassertal in 2021. Since then he has scored 26 goals in 102 league games for HCD. In the current season he is the second best scorer in Graubünden with 15 goals.
Strong and reliable in defense
“Dennis has met all the expectations we had of him,” says sports director Jan Alston in the message. “He is extremely strong and reliable in his defensive duties, but still plays short regularly and is also an important part of our team in the special teams.”
For Rasmussen, it is the second reason to be happy in a few days. A week ago he became a father. (bir)
