As the association announced in a press release, the youth teams will be coached next season. Former U18 national coach Marcel Jenni (49) is promoted to U20 national coach. Patrick Schöb (36), the current U17 coach, moves up to the U18 level.
The reason for these changes: Marco Bayer, head coach of the U20 national team, leaves his post and moves to the GCK Lions as coach, replacing Michael Liniger, who in turn moves to Zug as one of champion maker Dan’s new assistants Tangnes.
“We respect Marco Bayer’s wish to seize the opportunity in the Swiss league with this offer and have therefore agreed to an early termination of the contract,” explained national coach Lars Weibel.
