Swiss relay quartet runs in 10th place

Nadine Fähndrich (second runner) and her three colleagues took 10th place over 4×5 km.

The Swiss women’s quartet finished 10th in the 4×5 km relay at the World Championships in Planica.

Start runner Anja Weber lost almost a minute and a half and handed over to Nadine Fähndrich in twelfth place. The woman from Lucerne knows how to make up three places as second runner in the classic style. The 7th place of the last World Cup 2021 in Oberstdorf is out of reach.

Lea Fischer and Alina Meier complete the second half of the race in free technique. The gap to the superior Norwegians with Tiril Weng, Astrid Slind, Ingvild Östberg and Anne Kalvaa is 4:16 minutes. For the Scandinavians it is the first gold medal since Therese Johaug retired.

Behind the Norwegians, the German team surprisingly moved ahead of fellow favorite Sweden, which had to settle for bronze. (SDA)
