Disgusting scene in a Sunday NHL game: During a scuffle in the game between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings (5: 2), Rangers defender K’Andre Miller spits in the face of his opponent Drew Doughty.
Miller flies off the ice for the spit attack in the starting third. “He feels bad about it,” Rangers coach Gerard Gallant says of his protégé. “It says it wasn’t on purpose.”
Intentionally or not, spit victim Doughty is trampled underfoot by the attack. “There was some pretty big snot on my face. That’s why I was so angry,” explains the LA Kings defenseman.
