The Nashville Predators will trade Nino Niederreiter to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Canada’s second-round pick rights in the 2024 draft.
Niederreiter joined the Predators and his national teammate Roman Josi in the summer of 2022. Only Swede Filip Forsberg (19) has scored more goals this season than Niederreiter (18) for Nashville.
The Jets are the Churer’s fifth NHL station. He previously played for the New York Islanders, the Minnesota Wild and the Carolina Hurricanes.
Winnipeg is currently second in the Central Division, making it a playoff spot. Nashville ranks fifth in the same conference. (yap/sr)
