The Federation invites Vigo to submit documentation of its candidacy to host the 2030 World Cup.

The president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, led a meeting yesterday where he addressed candidacy from Spain, Portugal and Ukraine to host World Cup 2030. The previous work, the current status of the candidacy and the new points that need to be completed within the established calendar were analyzed.

In the case of Vigo, it is one of the cities that have chosen a host and have not yet presented Technical documentation requested, according to sources present at the meeting. Cities that are in this situation are invited to inform themselves about this aspect as soon as possible in order to enter a new phase after the first contact at the previous meeting.

There will be them during the month of March visit on the spot in stadiums to check the status of each of them and the level of compliance with the requirements today — some are in the reform phase, like that of Vigo.
