Galician motorsport already has its own calendar

New directive from Galician Automobile Association, headed by lalinense Antonio Rodríguez Troitino, has drawn up a preliminary consensus calendar that the assembly intends to approve this week.

As he announced a few hours after he was elected head of Galician motorsport, after forty years under the guidelines Ivan Corral, agenda of Championship of Galicia in the rally There are eleven dates, starting on the first weekend in April with the one in A Coruña and finishing with Ribeira Ría de Arousa (from November 17 to 19).

Other races on the calendar are the Noia rallies (April 14-16), Mariña Lucense (May 12-14), Pontevedra (June 2-4), Botafumeiro (returns 23-25 June, after the last edition was in 2019, before the pandemic), Sur do Condado (from July 7 to 9), Pazo Tizón (from July 28 to 30), Ferrol (from August 18 to 20, which means his return to the regional competition after years of establishing himself in the national), Ourense Ribeira Sacra (from September 15 to 17) and San Froilán (which will celebrate 45 editions from October 20 to 22).

In addition to expanding the obligations compared to those of previous seasons in relation to the regional championship in asphalt rallies, the new directive was also intended to equalize the coefficients to avoid unwanted rejections.

Six modalities and fifty rasas

The mountain championship will have nine trials (it starts in Oia on April 22 and ends with Krvnik on November 25). That rallymix, eight (from May 6 in Tour, to October 28 in Barbados). Autocross will have seven dates (from April 15 in Arteix, to November 11 in Carballo). The karting program includes three races (July 29, September 23 and November 11). Twelve slaloms will be held (from March 18 in Monterros to November 25 in Fene).
