Dirk van Duijvenbode convincingly qualified for the semifinals of the European Championship Darts. In the quarterfinals he was far too strong for compatriot Danny Noppert: 10:3.
After the first unit it was still 3:2 for Noppert, but then it was quickly over for the Fries. Van Duijvenbode went to 3-3 and then broke Noppert. With a 4:3 deficit, Noppert still had the chance to undo the break, but missed the lead.
