Former Feyenoord player Summerville gives Leeds victory over Liverpool

After the clear victory over Ajax (0:3) in the Champions League, Liverpool could not find a good connection in the Premier League. Coach Jürgen Klopp’s club lost 2-1 at Leeds United on Saturday night. Dutchman Crysencio Summerville was the hero at Leeds. He scored the winning goal two minutes from time.

The defeat throws Liverpool back to ninth place in the table. Leeds climb to fifteenth place.

Leeds took the lead after four minutes. Rodrigo easily slotted the ball in after a miss from keeper Alisson. The Brazilian slipped after a back pass from Joe Gomez and the ball rolled at the feet of the Spanish Leeds striker.

Two minutes ahead of time

Liverpool quickly repaired the damage with a goal from Mohamed Salah but the team failed to prevail at Anfield.

Towards the end of the game, Summerville had his moment of glory when he picked up the ball in the box and spun the ball past Alisson with a skillful punt. He also scored against Fulham last week.
