Ninth win in a row for leaders SCHC, Kampong without the fired Van der Kieft
The SCHC also won its ninth league game this season. HDM won 2-1, Kyra Fortuin scoring the winner in the second half.
The leader from Bilthoven started more dangerously and soon received three penalty corners, but was unable to score in the early stages. In the second quarter, Trijntje Beljaars broke the spell and made it 1-0. A little later, Dymph Luttge equalized after a penalty corner for HDM.
In the third quarter, SCHC took another lead (and a win) thanks to Kyra Fortuin.
Van der Kieft victim
Later in the day, Kampong plays Bloemendaal. Kampong said goodbye to coach Fleur van der Kieft on Friday after disappointing results. Eline Vermeulen, previous assistant trainer/coach, and Jeroen Schoenmakers (room coach) are on the bench against Bloemendaal as staff.
Kampong started the season with ambition, attracting top players like Lidewij Welten, but lies in a disappointing tenth place after eight rounds. Reason for the board to put Van der Kieft aside.

The Lords of Rotterdam and HGC turned it into a real spectacle. HGC took a 3-0 lead with two goals from Alan Forsyth and one from Jonas Gomol. With two penalty shots from Jeroen Hertzberger and a goal from Olivier Hortensius, Rotterdam managed to get a point out of the fire.
Later this Saturday the Schaerweijde men play against HDM.
